Numerous Agility Ribbons
Piper is a promising young male decendent from Accoyo Peruvian and
exceptional Bolivian bloodlines. With Piper's contributions in the ring
his Sire, a Peruvian White Lighning son, has won Get of Sire ribbons at
the 2003 North American and MAPACA in addition to Fleece Champion
honors. His Dam, an Acera Marca's Mr. Know It All daughter, claims a
National fleece champion ribbon and brings the potential for color to
Piper's genetics. Piper's correct conformation and substantial bone
structure placed him second in the 2003 MAPACA composite ring. The
quality and quantity of his fleece gained him the blue ribbon in this
class.
Piper exhibits traits well suited to a fiber production business plan.
In addition to exceptional handle, his luster was described as
"brilliant" by Dr. Julio Sumar. Density combined with staple length
determine total fleece weight. Piper's first full fleece was just under
10# with almost 6# of blanket. Annualized weight of his last two
fleeces exceed 15 pounds each. With this growth rate we were able to
shear Piper twice in 2003. The Blue and Red Fleece show ribbons
demonstrate that Piper makes quality fleece as well as quantity.
Piper's first cria arrived
in summer of 2005. These cria exibit the
conformation and fleece quality of their Sire
demonstrating his ability to pass on these genetics. He has produced
white when bred to white and color when bred to color.
